the stone cottage company
pwll melyn. rhiw. gwynedd. wales
Beautifully refurbished, our traditional stone cottage offers all the modern conveniences you could wish for with interiors that are a thoughtful blend of contemporary style and traditional cosiness. Pwll Melyn has a modern, country feel with Farrow and Ball paints, White Company and Laura Ashley furnishings, bed linen and lighting, an Everhot range cooker and an Esse multi-fuel burner (basket of logs supplied), original oak beams, inglenook fireplace and crog loft bedroom.
The original cottage comprises a beamed single room incorporating a fully equipped kitchen/dining area ( with a quartz work top, an electric range cooker, fridge and dishwasher and a Denby Belfast sink), living area (with a wood burning stove in the inglenook fireplace, flat screen LCD TV with DVD) and a new turned staircase to the open ‘crog loft’ twin bedroom.
A new door from the main room leads in to the former cowshed which is now the master bedroom with a king-sized bed and matching furniture to continue the light, country feel. The en-suite bathroom (in the former pig sty!) has a bath, WC and wash hand basin.
On the other side of the main room next to the kitchen is a utility room where the washing machine and microwave are located.
The third bedroom is a sunny twin- bedded room with patio doors to the garden and fabulous views. Next door is the shower room and WC.
Pwll Melyn stands within its own private gardens, there are a variety of areas to sit out or for children to play. They are perfect for dining, reading or just relaxing. There is also a sheltered ‘secret garden’ from which to enjoy the stunning views; this garden was created around a very old Ash tree which has a commanding position overlooking the view of Hells Mouth.
At the front of the cottage is a south facing patio and grassed area for hanging out washing. There is ample space for car parking.
